About Julienne

I am an interdisciplinary research scholar. I lead teams and collaborate in all forms of my robotics work. I use performance techniques to bridge the engagement and communication gap between humans and robots - as robots are essentially performing for us. Consequently, as a performance expert, I am well-qualified to program robots to be better companions for their human counterparts.

Empathetic connection is key to successful interactions between machines and people and my expertise is embedded in deep human empathetic understanding and authenticity. I believe there can be a many types of robot ‘personalities’ as there are human.
